Achieving Full Coverage ensures personalized programming that targets certain groups and finds solutions that compensate for disadvantages based on race, sex, religion, national or social origin, and other marginalized statuses.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This involves taking an extra step to reach last-mile populations and direct efforts to ensure that water and sanitation are accessible and affordable for all segments of the community.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Water For People aligns with the philosophy of the sector <strong><em>Leave No One Behind<\/em><\/strong> and the following definitions within the WASH sector.\u00a0<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/honduras.waterforpeople.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/bb-plugin\/cache\/Honduras01_SanAntonio_EscuelaElLanillal_20190619-106-scaled-landscape.jpg\" alt=\"Honduras01_SanAntonio_EscuelaElLanillal_20190619-106\" itemprop=\"image\"  \/>\n<h2>\n\t\tProposal for intervention models in water and sanitation in the dispersed rural area of Honduras\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>El proyecto \u00ab<a href=\"https:\/\/es.ircwash.org\/resources\/propuesta-para-modelos-de-intervenci%C3%B3n-en-agua-y-saneamiento-el-%C3%A1rea-rural-dispersa-de\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">intervention models for the dispersed rural area of Honduras<\/a>\u00bb &#8211; ejecutado por la ONG Water For People y sistematizado por IRC &#8211; trata de demostrar la factibilidad de las formas y modelos para prestar servicios a este segmento de la poblaci\u00f3n. El primer paso en este proceso ha sido poner a las comunidades en el mapa de todos. Mediante un mapeo y diagn\u00f3stico hemos obtenido mayor informaci\u00f3n sobre el n\u00famero de comunidades y la poblaci\u00f3n en el rural disperso, as\u00ed como el tama\u00f1o de la problem\u00e1tica. Estimamos que alrededor de 380,000 personas en el rural disperso carecen de servicios mejorados de agua y saneamiento.<\/p>\n<p>En los tres municipios donde el proyecto interviene (El Negrito, San Antonio de Cort\u00e9s y Chinda), se ha hecho un inventario de las comunidades dispersas y su situaci\u00f3n en agua. A trav\u00e9s de este proceso, las comunidades dispersas ahora est\u00e1n en el radar de los municipios. Y esto hace que comiencen a buscar soluciones a la situaci\u00f3n. Como bien lo dijo el alcalde de El Negrito, Delvin Salgado: \u00abnosotros tenemos una visi\u00f3n de cobertura total, y ahora que conocemos el rural disperso, implica tambi\u00e9n atender a esta zona\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>The project is now in the process of piloting different types of solutions in communities such as Rivera de las Minas and Nueva Esperanza. And there are many questions to answer in this. But the main step has been taken: putting dispersed rural areas on the map of the authorities.
