\n\t\t\tSTRENGTHENING OF CAPABILITIES<\/strong>\n\t\t<\/h1>\n\t

Water For People Honduras is constantly providing capacity building in municipalities and communities so that they can sustain water and sanitation services in the long term. In each of the CTPS municipalities, Water For People Honduras trains and supports users, water and sanitation boards, administrative units on the operation, maintenance and administration of water and sanitation services.<\/p>\n

In each of the CTPS municipalities, Water For People Honduras trains and supports users, water and sanitation boards, administrative units on the operation, maintenance and administration of water and sanitation services.<\/p>\n

It also supports the training and institutional strengthening of offices of the Municipal Water and Sanitation Technical Units as well as the Intermunicipal Water and Sanitation Technical Units, which provide technical support and training to the Drinking Water and Sanitation Administrative Boards, and operate chlorine banks. in different sectors of each municipality, generating the chlorine necessary to chlorinate the water in systems to guarantee greater availability of water in rural areas.<\/p>\n

Water For People Honduras supports the formation of civil society structures prescribed by the National Water Law, the Municipal Water and Sanitation Commission (COMAS) and the Local Supervision and Control Unit (USCL), in each of the municipalities where they intervene. These structures provide planning and investment guidance to the municipal government, additional technical support to water and sanitation committees, and enforce national sector regulations.\u00a0<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
