Water
Water For People builds water supply systems, we carry out training on topics such as fee collection, water quality and treatment; protection of hydrographic basins and maintenance and monitoring of the system. Also in In recent years, we have worked with Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) with the purpose of developing solutions for families living in particularly rural and dispersed areas of the districts of San Antonio de Cortés, Chinda and El Negrito.
To ensure that water services are sustainable, Water For People supports Municipal Water and Sanitation Committee Associations and Municipal Water Board Associations that are responsible for the management and operation of water systems.
Sanitation
For families to invest in decent bathrooms, it is necessary to have materials and financing. Water For People ensures that products such as toilets are available locally for families upgrading their bathrooms. We also support local microfinance institutions that offer loans for sanitation improvements and train bricklayers to build toilets.
